Big Rock Candy Mountaineering designs vintage-inspired outdoor clothing based on early American alpinists, mountaineers, and gear innovators who defined the outdoor style of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Founded by Sam and Peter in 2022, the brand has a very unique nostalgic nod to the good old days of climbing and mountaineering, with beautiful Vintage West Coast inspired takes on winter jackets, tough canvas shirting and proper accessories. The Bridalveil Jacket is a lighter-weight down jacket that utilises the same fabric and down fill as our Arctic Parka. It is perfect for Autumn nights and warm enough for winter with layering. Since getting the first prototype in, we haven’t stopped wearing it. Each colorway features a unique lining color– a nod to the fun color combos found commonly on outerwear in the 60s and 70s.
